Programs

The AMEN House offers the following programs to Scott County residents in need.

  • Food

    The AMEN House is entrusted with the TEFAP federal feeding program.  Have  partnerships with Feeding America and God's Pantry Food Bank.  Incorporating food donated by various local organizations, churches, and individuals our food ministry is equipped to meet the need for anyone in Scott County who is facing food insecurities.   

  • Senior COMMODITIES

    This distribution happens the 3rd Tuesday of each month of site at Grace Christian Church's Student Center.   1648 Lexington Road, Georgetown.  Open to seniors 60 and over who reside in Scott County, KY and live below the 130% poverty line.   For more information about the registration process please call 502-863-5305.

  • Food Delivery

    In the event a medical condition makes it hard for you to get to the AMEN House it is possible to apply for home delivery.   All applications run through our Social Worker and documentation of medical necessity will need to be provided.   Please reach out to Serena at 502-370-5548 via voice or text.


    It is also possible to receive delivery with a referral from Scott County School System.   If there is a child in the home and your family lacks transportation please reach out to the Family Resource Youth Services Center at your school for more details.  

  • CLothing

    Our clothing ministry is a blend of a thrift store and voucher program.  Everyone is invited to come shop in our store.  For anyone in Scott County needing a voucher for free clothing or household items applications are aviable in our food pantry. Membership is required for the free vouchers, but just like food membership and services are available the same day you apply.  

  • Business Ready

    Our Business Ready Program aims to make sure you have what you need to be ready for your first day of work.  If you are moving from unemployed or underemployed and need shoes or clothing to meet dress code requirements this program is for you.

  • Fresh Start

    If you find yourself moving from an unsheltered situation into your new home this program can provide the essentials for setting up your new place.  While we do not have furniture, we can help with linens and kitchen essentials like plates and cookware.   

  • Summer Food Service Program

    During the summer months, the AMEN House fills the gap for school children by providing meals during July and August. For locations and times, please click on the link below.
